Why you should have a professional voice on your business voicemail.

Hello everyone,  I would like to share an article  written by Jill Tarnoff that was posted on the voices.com website concerning the use of a professional voice for  your business voice mail and IVR systems. Quite frankly there are many businesses that could benefit from this and, with all the different stops in different communities where I work events this could prove to be a tremendous opportunity to have these types of recordings completed.   I often travel with my portable recording gear capable of broadcast quality recordings while I am on the road!  The important thing  to remember is that this valuable resource is available at a very reasonable cost for your business.

Voice talent and speech coach Jill Tarnoff shares her experiences calling in to book appointments with a healthcare provider and how the voice on an automated telephone system recording sets tone for the remainder of a call and speaking with a real person.

Only in America visits Rodeo Houston.

I had seen the promos for Larry the Cable Guy’s new show because I seem to be watching the History channel quite a bit lately. It just so happens that his show “Only in America” airs right before one of my favorite shows on History’s Tuesday night lineup “Top Shot”.

Low and behold Larry and his country boy brand of humor visited one of the largest rodeos in North America and included his visit in his “Only in America” show that aired last night.

One of my friends Award Winning Rodeo Media/Marketing Relations guru Ted Harbin, posted this little snippet in his blog today that includes a link to the video and I wanted to share it with you. You can also check out Ted Harbins Blog titled “twisTED Rodeo” at twisTEDRodeo.com and read some great articles pertaining to the rodeo industry.

Enjoy!

Until next time, God Bless, and Happy Trails!

Larry visits the rodeo

Larry the Cable GuyLarry the Cable Guy

The History Channel has a new series, “Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy.” It airs Tuesdays, and it’s something I’ve been interested in seeing.

I just haven’t done it yet.

On Wednesday afternoon, I had a friend send me the YouTube link to the show’s episode that aired this week and will air again Sunday on Larry’s visit to RodeoHouston. It was as educational to non-rodeo types as it was funny, and you should check it out HERE.

Whether you like Dan Whitney’s humor or not — that’s Larry’s real name — you will probably get a kick out of watching the segment. You’ll even see a little of Whitney come out after a bull sends the Larry character right out of him.
